Designed with full-coated and long-haired breeds in mind, the chain collar is sewn directly into the wide satin base beneath a series of control loops that keep the chain safely free of your dog's fur, preventing matting and breakage. The collar slips on over the head with ease but is flexible enough to tighten as the chain does, allowing for a comfortable and controlled fit. We highly recommend this collar to protect the beautiful coats of show dogs like poodles, afghan hounds, schnauzers, etc.

Our collars are made of high mint polka dot cotton with light blue iridescent trim and lavender satin lining, one layer of internal padding and expert stitching sure to meet expectations. The loops and area beneath the chain are made of a sturdier lavender material to extend the life of the collar and double stitched for additional reinforcement. This collar is also finished with dazzling silver, blue, and iridescent stardust rhinestone crystal banding for that extra pop of bling. Chrome plated chain will not rust or tarnish.

MEASURING YOUR DOG

Using a measuring tape or a piece of string, measure the distance around your dog's neck and the distance around the widest part of their head. Get the measuring tape/string as close to the skin as possible for the most accurate measurement.

For poodles in show coat and other dogs with very a full coat (think "big hair"), add an additional 2-3" to the neck measurement to estimate collar size.

For poodles in a clipped down sport trim or puppy trim or dogs with less body to their coat, add about 1-2" to the neck measurement to estimate collar size.

If purchasing for a short-coated dog for comfort purposes, use neck size as measured.

FOR DOGS UNDER 20 LBS
Add ONLY about 1-2" to the neck measurement to estimate collar size, regardless of trim.

FOR AFGHAN HOUNDS and other sight hounds, we recommend a sport-width collar if available. Measure from the throat (beneath the chin) up around the widest part of the dog's head. Be sure to measure as close to the skin as possible so the collar will be just barely loose enough to fit over the head. DO NOT add any extra allowance to this measurement. If you do not see the necessary collar size in the drop-down list contact us to have a collar sized specifically to your dog.

**Be sure that the final measurement you use is at least 1" greater than the measurement taken at the widest part of your dog's head. DO NOT do this for Afghan hounds and other sight hounds.
