SALVAGED ANTIQUE ADJUSTABLE HEIGHT CHANDELIER HANGER:
An interesting find, this ceiling mounted ornamental brass piece was intended to suspend a chandelier at adjustable heights. The back has a reel full of chain link that would supposedly pull out to adjust the height of the two brass chains, one on either side. Marked B&R on the cast iron top hook.
It does not appear to be working in its present state, but I am not very mechanically inclined, and made no attempt to fix it. However, if you or someone you know is handy, perhaps you could bring this cool piece back to life.
I buy am selling this piece in "AS IS, AS FOUND" CONDITION, and cannot accept any return.
