Large Monart Ysart buy Green Art Deco Glass Vase

Here is an excellent Monart art glass vase made by the Ysart family at Moncrieff in Scotland in about 1935. This is a bold free-blown art deco high shoulder glass vase in Celadon green and black. It has gold aventurine worked into the glass along the top shoulder in classic Monart/Vasart style. The bottom of the vase has a raised and ground pontil bottom characteristic of blown Monart art glass. It is not signed but it needs no signature due to the distinctive and classic style that is only from Moncrieff. This vase stands about 5 1/2" tall and is in excellent like new condition. It has been said that Salvador Ysart, who blew this vase, learned his composition techniques from French master glass artists such as Charles Schneider (and I add Muller Fres and Daum at Nancy) and this vase shows strong support for that proposition in both form and composition.
