FLUID is a simple but elegant weaving of blue and white woven with warp threads of blue, green and purple. It has a delicate fluid feeling in the areas I kept the weave loose and open. It has a very long fringe and is hung simply on a wood dowel.

This weaving is unique and handwoven on a Japanese SAORI loom. SAORI weaving is buy a style and philosophy of weaving originating in Japan. It embraces weaving as a means to discover our true selves and to express creativity. It breaks with conventional thinking and believes a weaving can capture the thoughts and feelings that we have at that time.

This beautiful woven wall hanging was created in my home studio in a pet free and smoke free environment. I use a variety of fibres including wool/merino/roving/cotton/handspun and hand dyed yarns.

It measures 48" long (including fringe) and 14" wide. The dowel is 22" wide.
