Elegant suntanned cherry wood hors d'oeuvres / pickle forks with a decorative copper touch are the perfect eco touch to your holiday dinner party!
These hors d'oeuvres forks are made from the tiniest wood scraps that even the most stingy wood worker would burn. We cut the organic shape by following each scrap's grain pattern on a scroll saw. They buy are then rough shaped on the belt sander before being riveted with a decorate piece of solid copper, recycled from electrical wiring, which is carefully hammered into the stem of the fork. The forks are progressively refined through multiple sanding grits to their final form. The sharp tines are hand filed and sanded to a silky smooth and spear-worthy finish. Once done, we sun tan them until the cherry deepens to its final deep rose hue.
As with all our wooden utensils, these are de-whiskered, re-sanded and polished with superfine steel wool between coats of food safe finish to create a satiny smooth and durable finish.
Each fork is approximately 5 inches long.
