Vintage Limoges France Gilded Vase - Burgundy Marble - Fragonard buy Courting Couple - Two Lovers - Rococo Scene

Vintage Limoges burgundy and gold vase. Made in France. Features the Fragonard depiction referred to as the "Courting Couple". Comprised of the pure white clay porcelain Limoges pieces are known for. Striking design of dark magenta pink buy with marbling effect. There is a pearlescent overlay that complements the color so well. It is somewhat of a sunset orange lustre. Gilded details throughout and on scroll handles. This vase has a unique neck somewhat like the petals of a flower or regal as a crown. Magnificently ornate and very French.

Measures 6 1/4" tall by 4 1/2" wide. In excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Finish still has nice shine. Clean interior. Marked with Fragonard signature although the end of the name is blended into the art of the image (see last pic). Marked on base, "Limoges France". An elegant piece from this well known French porcelaine.
