These slices have been cut from logs that have been drying naturally for over a year. These rustic tags are great for name tags at anniversaries, weddings, reunions, parties etc. Also great for craft projects of stamping and writing. Beautiful after decorating with paint or stamps to hang on a Christmas tree! These are also great for homeschool craft projects and games. Stamp with matching stamps for a matching game! The wood from the dried logs, once sliced goes through an additional drying process in a heat controlled room . Having dried the tags does help in reducing splitting. However please keep in mind that you are dealing with a natural product and different environments may affect you tags.

The lumber that we consume from the saw mill is usually part of the tree that is other wise headed for the fire.
